I had been thinking of installing a Magnaflow muffler on my truck, but a stop at Zoro Mufflers yesterday has me thinking about their Solo Series Mufflers. Manufactured by their own group of companies. I searched the threads and get info on older installations. Anyone using the Mach 44 muffler on a new truck? I'm looking at replacing the Y-pipe as well. I want a fairly quiet exhaust system without the dreaded drone.

Its probably more than you're looking to spend, but look at the Corsa catback. Its pricey, but with all the money I spent on exhausts that droned or weren't what I was looking for it would have been much cheaper to just get it the first go round.

It seriously has no drone, it sounds almost stock inside, but outside has a nice throaty roar, especially when you punch it. It is not obnoxious to tow with for extended periods of time with the engine above 3000 RPM, but a box trailer will bounce a good amount of sound back at the cab

Ya, the drone fear is always there. The guy running the Zoro shop in Hamilton has a 2013 Ram with the cat back system, no resonators. He let me take it for a drive and I thought it sounded too loud inside the cab, even though it was not an 8 speed. He felt that just swapping out the muffler and leaving the factory resonators would be the best.

The transmission doesn't really make much difference

Solo Performance is an Awesome exhaust, Had 2 previous rams done at the Mississauga location, Customer service top notch, The only issue both Rams split the cans open or cracked the welds around the muffler, Both were replaced no questions asked I just felt I needed something different this time so they installed a Magnaflow for me and have never had a problem since on my 2015

I have the Solo Catback on my 2009 Dodge Challenger, it is pretty loud to me for a daily driver, I sense limited drown but "spatter" back pressure at times. I am leaning on the Corsa or magna flow for the 2016 Ram 2500 with the 6.4....I also would like to know thoughts on the 6.4 2500 Ram Muffler options. I like the idea of keeping the cabin quiet when windows are up and deep and load outside...Way too quiet with stock to me LOL

I have 18 inch magnaflows on mine and very happy with them, whenever I step on the gas I get that nice deep rumble and when crusing the drone is not to bad. At 100km/h the drone sounds is slightly higher than at 120km/h. When idling you can barely here the muffler. I went with simply just changing the muffler and not touching anything else.

I had the Solo Mach 40 muffler installed on my 2016 Sport. It's been about a month now, and its gotten much louder since I first got it. Startup in the morning is pretty loud, nice deep rumble. A little louder inside the truck when youre accelerating but nothing crazy. Very quiet cruising the highway or idling once warmed up. Only time you get a little drone is using cruise control on an incline.
