The exhaust on my truck suddenly sounds VERY loud and rumbly. I crawled underneath and this is what I found. Could this be caused by a clogged catalytic converter?

The exhaust on my truck suddenly sounds VERY loud and rumbly. I crawled underneath and this is what I found. Could this be caused by a clogged catalytic converter?

A clogged cat would cause a rough running engine and codes. That just looks like a bad clamping to the exhaust pipe. I would unbolt the clamp and move it forward and re-clamp and then tack weld the pipe to make sure it doesn't pull apart again with the little space left or cut a section off and get a new extension piece in to get a better clamping area.
