Default Is there a happy medium?

Just installed the kit a bit over a week ago and went with the remote fill / no compressor for simplicity.

Question is why is there no way of attaching the bag to the lower plate?

I am having a tough time finding the happy medium here. I drive primarily rough country roads, about 200 miles a week daily commute to and from work all via rough country roads.

Here is the dilemma I have right now, I keep the bags aired up enough to keep them in contact with the lower plate but if I have just enough in there so they just touch I get a slapping / clapping noise as the rear end jumps over the rough roads as the bag comes away from the lower plate, if I add just enough air to eliminate the noise and keep them in contact enough to avoid this then it feel like I am riding a kick ball down the road, the rear end is continuously bouncing and I installed brand new Bilstein 5100 shocks and struts just a few weeks before, feels like there are no shocks at all on the rear.

Why is there not a snap ring on the guide stud or a stud to bolt it down to keep the bag stretched out and in contact with the bottom plate with low air pressure in the bag?

What am I missing here?

Maybe it has to do with suspension travel. If the truck is lifted on a hoist and full suspension drop is allowed it may tear the bags or bend the brackets ?I am going to put my truck on the hoist one of these days and see how far the suspension dose drop. I have installed Firestone bags on many customers trucks and they are attached top and bottom and they have no problem ? (TLC is the only company that makes bags of this type for the ram) I would like to see how the bags are mounted on the factory air ride suspension. One thing I have been considering doing is pulling the air out of the bags and tying them to the top mount.I pulled my truck out of the heated shop into the MN cold, a few hours later I looked under the truck and the bags had pulled themselves up off the mounts so that is when the idea of tying them up came about. I would just let them down when needed. Maybe there isin't enough clearance to do this ?

The bags are plenty long enough at full axle droop on a hoist to make contact with the lower plates, I have a hoist in my shop and that's how I installed mine. I also have 3/4 inch coil spacers installed under the rear coils and they still had more than enough reach to go yet.

Thanks for the info.I guess it may be time to put nuts on the studs that go through the bottom bracket.

Figured the vendors watched their product forums closer but since a week passed with no word from them I sent a PM to TLC John who replied he would check on this with his people.

Have you updated the kit with the studs that install in the bottom bolt holes of the bag ? You then drill holes in the bottom plate for these studs to go through to keep the bags in place. The kit dosen't include nuts for the studs, but it dosen't tell you to bolt them down either so you would have to provide those. You replied back to me that the bags are long enough for full suspension drop so I was going to put nuts on the studs to sercure the bags to the lower plate. Then I can run 2psi of air pressure and not get the slapping noise. Haven't done this yet so I can not tell you if it works.

Is there a kit you are referring to or are these studs you are talking about something you found?

I still have not heard anything back from them yet. will send them another PM.

Why would this not be included with the kit in the first place?
I don't see anything about it on their site, did you have to call to get one and how much extra did they get for th kit?
