I got the dura last that was on the first page, I just put it in with the hole at the top. It just took some force to put it in but I drove it, no leaks and was at a way lower temp, goes up to almost the same spot as my stock one but not quite, then the fan comes on and drops the temp to about 1/4 of the gauge marker

2012 Ram Hemi V8--thought about putting 180 degree thermo in but it was just too tight(Duralast)..I reinstall stock thermo-burp it twice..Is the following normal-
When driving the temp goes from 203-204-206( sometimes for a brief second to 208) and then back to 204-203 and then repeats back to 204 206. approx 5 seconds between temp changes..Is this normal?

Im no expert on this, but I would say its normal since you have the 203 thermostat in there
And Ive been looking around and cant find any 180 thermostats that fit 2012

Do you have a 50/50 coolant/water mix? Too much coolant and it won't cool properly.

I lost less than a gallon of fluid, and then mixed the new mopar equally with water and poured in system. Is it normal for the temp to fluctuate or cycle like that or should it remain constant at highway speeds--It fluctuates the same rather idling or driving--just wondering if I still had air in the system. Gotbrains is correct, as of yet, there is not a 180 thermo for the 2012--thanks guys for your input.

Wouldn't 2009-2011 and 2012 be the same? I actually think a guy on another forum has done the swap on his 2012
