For third gens, is it possible to simply replace turn signal/amber bulb with an led bulb with no issues?

only if the led bulb is configured with a load restor or sometning like that already in it.
thats the only way to get no hyper flash with just a bulb replacement.

You'll get the hyper flash if you don't install a load resistor which is very very easy to do. An LED draws a lot less power than a standard bulb so when you turn on the blinker it still works but the computer can't tell its even there which creates the inevitable hyper flash.

Hello hows it going pics are cool. I know I can pull my tail light assembly apart to see what bulbs I need. I would just a soon do it once but the link Says it can be 1156 or 3157 would you happen to know. I believe it is 3157 but there are two bulbs is one 1156.
