Default Mufflex Satisfaction Survey

I am wondering how happy you guys are with your Mufflex. There are a bunch of guys that say the tips don't line up after the install. Some even said they went to a muffler shop to have it fixed. Or are those guys just not taking the time to adjust before tightening the clamps. Just wanting to know if I would be better taking to a local muffler shop or ordering the kit.

The exhaust tips can be adjusted easily. The two muffler exit pipes were a little tough to line up but a little adjusting was necessary. Two years and still happy

Used their DOD14M kit ,install took about an hour,I just snugged the clamps,so I could just turn the pipes, made sure tips where centered before I tightened the clamps the way.I think it's a great kit....Rob

When I did mine, I didn't pay close attention to the exhaust tips until I got a good look from behind, and noticed the one tip was not perfectly centered. In less than 3 minutes, I was able to adjust it. Had I read and followed the Mufflex instructions, I probably would have done the aligning 'before' tightening the clamps...LOL

Mufflex makes a great product. The fit and finish was better than my premium Volant CAI .... It takes a bit of effort and time...but well worth it!

Same here, minor exhaust leak. However, had I jacked up the truck and spent more time installing it according to the instructions I'm sure it would have turned out perfect. I was just too eager to get the thing installed
