Lose the TB Spacer (useless on a 4G Hemi)
and get a new Fastman modded Throttle Body instead for $200.
Link: http://www.thefastman.com/ThrottlebodiesHemi.asp

...and pick up a Catch Can too ~$120
(I highly recommend Billet Technology)
Link: http://www.custombilletstore.com/product_p/20010.htm

more details on the Fastman TB and Catch Can in this thread:
http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=86251

...other cheap supporting mod's:
Jet 180 T-Stat (#10183) and Magnaflow Y-Pipe (#10778) for around $30~$40 ea.
Links:
http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=1480
http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=4892

The Jet takes about 15 minutes to DIY swap,
Get the Maggy Y welded in with SS Mandrel Bent pipe for a few bucks more at a performance exhaust shop, +/- $100

I also recommend you ditch the plastic engine cover (Free!) it's nothing but a huge heat trap that restricts air flow around your intake runners.
You can also delete the parasitic mechanical clutch fan (Free!) but you may want to wait for a tuner to adjust your electrical fan settings.

Then sit back and wait patiently for a Diablosport Tuner,
...the Trinity if you can afford the higher end touch screen.

(I've got the Airaid and Magnaflow CatBack too)
Great choices so you're off to a good start.

My Edge Torque Converter and JBA Shorty Headers are on the way (about $500 ea)
....so I expect to be pulling low 13's real soon. (already at 13.8/98.5 = 13.4/101 DA corrected)
I still have to get my custom CMR Dyno tune after header install, hopefully mid August if my parts all arrive on time.

BlackRamHemi - My MF cat back is being installed as we speak. I will have the 5" tips by day's end. I am pumped.

I like the Billet Catch Can - I just ordered one. Unbelievable how much oil you caught after a week of racing, plus it looks cool. Also LOVE the 'free mod' info. Good call on removing plastic shield. I'll do that too. Thanks guys. I might have to get another job to pay for my new addiction (the truck).

Thank you.

BlackRamHemi,

I'm in Calgary. Any suggestions who I can get to do these performance mods (preferably in Calgary)? Unfortunately, I don't have the time nor the expertise to do much of anything myself.

Thanks tons.

Mike

Got the Magnaflow exhaust. Sounds really good -- not too loud for regular driving and gets pretty loud when you get on it.

Installing it was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. The rubber hangers were really hard to work with...in hindsight, I should have shot it with WD-40. The muffler was on there good too. After tugging it for a while I put a 4X4 piece of wood against it and hit it with a sledgehammer a few times, that worked and didn't hurt the exhaust.

Took pic of new exhaust. I need to adjust tomorrow.

Also took pic of old system.

OH and I noticed some rust on some parts while I was under truck...wtf is that about?

I get the rest of my stuff this upcoming week...more pics to come.

Don't you just love those 5" tips? Congrats on doing the install yourself. I wanted to try it but just did not have the time. But I am happy with the new sound. Looks good on your truck. Enjoy!

Thanks Razor - I like everything about it....the sound and the look. I also decided to start debadging....took off the badges on the tailgate (Big Horn and the 4X4). I'm going to get rid of the ones on the doors (Ram 1500), but I'm leaving the Hemi badge. I believe it's actually a sin for someone to remove Hemi.

Get yourself a CAI and I'll help you install it free of charge! Always glad to help out a ramforumz member.
Looking to eventually do a fastman tb and looks easy enough so I'd be willing to try!

Wow. Thanks.

I got your PM too but I can't respond because of my low post count. Not sure how to keep in touch.
