Has this worked to fix leak from the DRIVERS SIDE DOOR GRIP (located on the interior of the driver side column) aka handle you grab while getting in?

My truck leaks after a hard rain from that handle. 3rd gen, no sunroof. I have not had any leak around the ceiling or in the back, just at the drivers door grip, through the bottom hole.

Thanks!

I'm not sure. I suppose it's possible for the water to travel to the front of the cab. I'd suspect this would only happen if parking on a hill with the rear of the truck elevated, though.

Might be the door seal, rain channels, windshield, or sunroof also, in that area.

Found out I had a leak in the rear of my truck today with all the rain from this weekend.
Pulled the 3rd brake light and behold no foam seal at all.
Looks like I will be trying this fix after a trip to HD.
Thanks for the info.

I just read this thread. Thank you! For the past year I couldn't figure out how my cab interior was getting wet. I thought it was the sliding window. I'll make this repair and solve my problem once and for all! Great thread, thanks again.

Glad this thread is still helping people . I think this was the first real contribution I made to the site, and probably the best/most used.

2010 Ram 1500,
Same is happening to my truck.
just found an inch or more puddle in my back seat in the storage area, i haven't looked where my amplifier is but i think there might be some water there too. i have search on the web and a few people say it might be coming from the 3rd brake light just on the back of the cab. going to the dealership to see what they will do, man i am so dissappointed with this defect i was starting to enjoy this truck so much!!!

Just do what's in this thread, you will save yourself a lot of time and aggravation.

Hey - I know it's been awhile since you posted this, but I just wanted to say thanks for doing so! We've had some terrible storms come through the past week and when I saw the nearly half gallon of water pooled under my back seat, I was not a happy camper. Just completed this little job and it looks like it's going to do the trick! Thanks so much again.
