Default Installing headers?

Abyone here install shorty headers on a 4.7 Ram? I have an '06 4X4 and want to install headers. I see Gibson sells some for $350 that are direct replacement for the manifolds. Is it easy? Or are there some obsticles? I've installed headers on older vehicles, but never a computer controlled vehicle. I guess I'm just saying, never on my daily driver that cost $17k! Only on $2-3k cars, so I'm a bit nervous about it. Next I want to change the cams to the 212, and finally, 4.56 gears (35" tires)

I've heard some bad reviews about the Gibsons and that they were prone to cracking. There are some JBA headers on Airram for 360 though if you decide to go with a different brand. With the mods you have planned it sounds like your truck will be pretty sweet.

I think OBX (ebay brand) sells some too they may be cheaper. I've heard nothing but good things about the OBX company (on other vehicles).

Yeah I'm not sure, I don't even know what's available for my 2010, just know I saw OBX makes some for some 4.7L rams.... I plane to get shorties eventually also.

There's a set of JBA stainless on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JBA-1...#ht_1644wt_782

This is the first time I've ever heard someone complain about gibson products...

i just installed a set of JBA stainless steel shortys on my 05 and they fit real good in the chassis and every where else. the only problem i had was that the passenger side header sat back about 3 inches to far. i just cut the exhaust after the cat and am gonna run it like that till i get to an exhaust shop to have the cats cut out and have it done right other then that i like the look and sound especially coming straight out the headers

the improvements with the headers were amazing. i went from a 14 second 0-60 to a 10 second 0-60. and the throttle response is better also

14 second 0-60!?!? My stock truck with tune runs 15's in the 1/4 mile....

Something must have been wrong with your engine.
