The performance hoods, like mine, are steel. There are some other fiberglass hoods out there.

I do not know in the older year trucks if they made oem fiberglass. Someone will chime in and let you know.

Its good. This is just referring to the challenger style hoods on the 4th gen. Not concerned about older years.

I'm pretty sure the challenger style hoods are aluminum.

I was using the word steel, but technically they are the same material as the stock hood. They list it as sheet metal. Nothing mentions aluminum.

Actually in the oem authentic accessory book it states:
Sports performance hood, for added show, this stamped aluminum dual -scooped hood replaces original hood and features molded bezels. Hood utilizes existing mounting hardware. For Ram 1500 only. So evidently they are aluminum.
