Default Climate Control Panel Lighting

I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 4X4, 5.9 Cummins, crew cab, six speed manual transmission. Can anyone tell me how to get to the bulbs that light up the control knobs? Mine are evidently burnt out and I have to turn on the dome lights to adjust the heater controls when it's night time. Thanks, I appreciate any help.

Jim

Jim,

Welcome to the forum! What part of Eastern Oregon are you in?

As far as those bulbs, you need to pull the center bezel off the dash, unplug the wiring harness to the backside of the controls, then unscrew the control module from the bezel.

I think you'll find that the bulbs are integrated into the circuit board and are not separate from the controls. If that is the case, and it is on mine, you'd have to replace the control module to get new lights to work.

On my 02, on the back of that panel, the bulbs were a screw-in type and weren't hard wired to the circuit board. There were like 3 or 4 little lights.

The front panel will just pop off and then the controls are screwed in to the back of the panel
