Default DIY CAI done

here's my DIY CAI...... i stole this idea from another member on here i think it came out pretty good..the parts consist of a 3" to 3" coupler,.. 8 1/2" piece of 3" pvc,..and a 3" to 3" 90 degree elbow ...thanks for looking and thanks to the member i stole the idea from

Looks good ! And to answer your question Skillets, the stock intake box is pretty much set up as good as a aftermarket CAI, he just replaced the restrictive accordian tubing with some smooth pipe, along wit a drop-in K&N seems to work good for people. Hope that helps with your question Bud.

an open cone filter at the end, without the air box would do SO much better for a performance upgrade. just sayin...

This mod or this with an open cone filter filter wont really help all that much. This mod will help air flow into the throttle body better but it still can only suck as much air as the stock air box will allow.
An open cone filter alone will still pull the hot air off of the motor thats why the nicer intakes you see have a cone filter the shielding around them with an open top. Like bigrubber I'm not trying to offend anyone

I will say that your inlet looks MUCH better that way then over stock
