I agree with some of those ^^^^ choices. I have Hertz 2-way components being driven by a JL amp in my truck and love the quality and sound. I have an Alpine 10" sub and Alpiine sub amp as well.

I have kept my stock REC/NAV head unit but if I was to replace it with an aftermarket unit, it would be either a Pioneer or Kenwood unit.

I would check out crutchfield if I was looking for new equipment, they have a wide selection and cheaper than a stereo shop.I would agree with going with pioneer head units and kicker amps/speakers,thats what I have and they sound great

Hey guys thanks for the info. I'll post pics of the truck later, it's in the shop now. Just bought it too but no biggy it's covered under warranty. It's white but I'm planning on getting it painted black once it's out of the shop. How many channels should the amp I get have? Since I want to replace the speakers, add a sub and a head unit will I need 2 amps, 1 amp with 5 channels, or something else?

You might want to try and post your stereo questions in the Custom Audio/Video section of the site . Thats where all the stereo gurus hang . Heres the link : http://www.ramforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16
