Default Question: 07 Nav in an 06??

I have a lead on a NAV head unit (Laramie) from an 07. I have an 06 SLT.

Anyone know if they will interchange?

Thanks - Bash

They should just fine but you will probably need to replace your center bezel to accommodate a double din unit.

Yes, you will probably need to replace the center console. Also, look at the Lockpick Adapter to enable all the features of the Mygig unit. Just make sure that the CAM speed of the car's buss is correct. Should be low speed. I have an 06 Ram, I think the high speed came in mid 07 or 08. Someone correct me if my info is incorrect. I use a low speed system in my 06 ram.

Clark,

Can you explain what that means? Is that a setting within the head unit that I would choose after I install, or is it a dip switch on the back or something?

I do realize the bigger bezel is needed. How about anything else? Steering wheel controls? Any special antennas for the GPS or anything?

It says it comes with the Rec Nav Lockpick, "which enable you to watch videos, enter address while driving, add a rear backup camera and add ipod to it." Is this all correct?

Guy is asking $1000 for the head and Lockpick; any comments?

Thanks guys.

For $1000.00 you can get a nice after market nav and just wire it up you would still need the larger bezzel which you can find at dodgeparts.com it is around $100.00.

Been doing research on this all day. Some techs say it will work, some say no. The part numbers on the head units listed at Rairdon.com (dodge dealer) are the same, so it should work.

Question is, if I plug it into the truck and it is no compatible, will I screw something up or will it just not work?

Thanks for the help guys
