Default Homelink programming problem solved!

Have 2011 Ram Laramie and using Chamberlain rolling code opener. Not sure about the model. It is 3 years old.
Attempted the programming EXACTLY according to the manual from Dodge.
Finally gave up. A week later I went back out there, and succeeded. Here is what I did:
Powered off the door opener.
Dumped the homelink codes in the truck.
Trained #1 with a good working remote.
Powered up the opener, hit the "train/learn" button on the opener, went right to the truck and hit the key I had just programmed, and it worked. Only took a couple seconds.
It has been working properly for 2 weeks now.
Give this a shot guys!

Yeah, I had to fight this same battle.

The problem with rolling code openers is that until you give your homelink a code to transmit, it won't transmit anything.

So, you hit the learn button on your opener, run to the truck and hit the homelink button, but it doesn't send any signal at all.

Once you sync it with the remote it will send a signal and link up to the opener.

Question Opener !!!

Glad to hear this did mine last weekend thought it would make me crazy . I finally got it to work second try after going in the house for a while wondering why i must be so stupid. My daughter wasn't happy that night I screwed up her opener she couldn't get in , turns out the remote battery went dead.
