I got a set of Hella 500FF driving lights mounted behind the grille. I just followed the directions that came with the lights. I mounted the lights on the support that goes across the front of the radiator. Wiring was really easy with that kit. Tapped into the high beams and ran a switch to the dash just in case I want to turn them off while I have my highs on for some reason. (like that'll happen) The switch is mounted below the headlight switch. There was a small plastic plate on my dash that's used to mount something I don't have in my model truck so I just drilled a whole of the appropriate size for the switch that came with my kit.

I agree..the Hella kits come with everything you need and are easy to wire up.

Mine are wired up and outside the truck but icephreaq has the right of it. The support in front of the radiator is the perfect place to mount them if you want them behind the grille.

My switches are in the cab, right next to the steering wheel on the left side of the lower dash cover.

If you look at Maddog's first photo, my switch is mounted in the plate that his pedal adjustment switch is in the bottom left. :-)

My rectangular Hella 500FF's are mounted to the radiator cross member as well. The kit has all you'll need. The switch for my reverse lights is on the center console access panel (my gallery has a pic or (2)) but I ran these to a floor mounted foot switch (old school) that I screwed to the floor near the left side near the firewall. I'll try and get a few pics taken later if you'd like since I don't think I found the time to document/write up that mod over Christmas break.

I don't have a switch. I mounted mine with a relay to my high beams as mine are driving lights, so when I switch to my highs, they come on.

There's no 'right' place to put them. Just measure the total width of the crossmember to find the center, then looking at the grille, try to find the middle of your opening (from the center of your grille). Take that measuerment and transfer onto the crossmember on each side.
