Default Dual glasspacks?

So i think that i am gonna put dual exhaust on my truck, but because of my low income cant afford much right now. would dual 12" glass packs make an impressive difference?

Yeah that would sound really nice. I love the sound of having glass packs but the fiberglass does blow out eventually causing it to get very loud.

It will be quite a bit louder, then those units will burn in and get even louder! Eventually the fiberglass will give up, as age525 said, and it's like you have no muffler at all.

I have installed glass packs on several trucks. I like how they sound. There old school but good. Don't expect any MPG improvements from adding any exhaust.

Up until about a month ago I had dual glass packs side exit exhaust. It is an extremely loud setup. If you do not like obnoxious loud, go with something different. I ended up having mine changed to a single rear exit dumped over the axle to hide the exhaust completely. Still have a straight flow muffler, but just moving it to the rear made an incredible difference. Still have the rumble, but the obnoxious level is down.
