I haven't noticed any difference at all. MPG is the same but I can't believe that it shouldn't help. Sure as hell can't hurt.

I feel the same way just applying simple physics and logic, it is more aerodynamic= more efficient= better mpg.

The rep from Access tonneau's came by last week for training and I asked him about the Myth Busters episode and he said their testing environment was not nearly specific enough to give accurate results. Access did the test with more controls in place and noticed up to a 10% increase in MPG. To me, my gut tells me a tonneau makes a truck more aerodynamic and therefore I should get better mileage...

I doubt many of us are buying a tonneau just for the MPG gains given the utility of a cover and all the other benefits they offer. I feel good knowing that a tonneau is not HURTING mpg at least.

-my .04 cents anyway

I personally perfer the soft toneaus, I don't carry much in the bed nor do I leave my truck unattended very often. I don't care about the miniscule gas mileage if any improvements, I like the look of the bed covered.
I also hate the look of bed liners of any kind, I like to see the shiney paint back there. I have a trailer for anything other than luggage or a cardboard box!

Exactly, mine will be in Thursday. My girlfriend has the hard fiberglass cover, its nice to be able to lock it and the bed but it has to be taken off to haul something oversized. I dont plan to put anything in my bed and leave my truck anywhere that Im worried about someone stealing something. My truck is for looks and hauling a$$, not cargo!

i had a solid fiberglass one piece on my other truck and loved it 95% of the time, was a 2 man job to get it off and back on and was rough on the bed rail.it was completely rain tight never leaked a drop.after looking for countless hour online and reading this post ive decided on a backflip f1 going to order it today.thanks for all the info on the different covers very helpful.

I love reading reviews before I buy something so I thought this might be helpful...read 1000's of tonneau cover reviews here.

Bakflip F1 arrived this morning. It was quick and "very" easy to install.

I like the idea of a rollup as I use my truck bed quite often but I also like the idea of being able to lock the bed however a hard tonneau is just totally out of the question.
