Thumbs down abs light, brake light, speedo not working, stalls when stopping

Ok..... 99 Ram 2500 4x4 RWAL

The other day my abs light came on, then every third time or so I would start the truck also the brake light. Then the speedo quit....

Then went also 3 miles two days ago with everything fine then abs, brake, check engine lights all come on and speedo quit.. had friend try his cheapo abs scan tool and no avail (didnt think much about it then) used obd scanner and it threw a 500 speed sensor code...

so today i replaced speed sensor and disconnected the battery for 5 mins and key on ign and abs light on.... and about every 5 times keying ign the brake light stays on too.

neighbor hooked up motis....... no communication, tried 3 times with motis

took it for a drive and abs light and no speedo.....

What would cause no communication with motis? Come on RAM TECH...... you have been helpful so far.

I presume you're talking about a Snap-on Modis. Is the communication problem just with the ABS module or all modules in the truck?

just the abs system it had no communication with..... it did communicate with the truck itself (check engine light)(it wasnt on but did say it was communicating)

so to answer your question- just the abs system

I'm looking at the diagnostic tests and it's either going to be a wiring problem or an ABS controller problem.

Check the ABS fuse for looseness or corrosion. Check the connection on the ABS controller for the same thing. Look at the wiring for any signs of chafing or shorting.

The ABS module will be under the hood near the master cylinder. Follow the brake lines from the master cylinder and you'll find it.

There's no module for the ABS other than the one under the hood.
