This is just like my '04 it's a black quad cab Laramie with AWD and 4x4... The only thing that's not factory are the rims, which are from an '09 Ram So it's still "stock"
I think that a lift kit will ruin the truck. It's the GT-R of Rams' lol
I've heard that they are potential collector items. in '04 Chrysler was still experimenting with AWD as obvious they are very where now. What better way to test it's rigidity then put it in a 345 horsepower Pickup truck. (which at the time was a lot of horsepower for any factory vehicle, yet alone a light duty sports truck.)

Mine has 165,000[Hard] miles and though it has needed some maintenance its never left me stranded so I think it past the rigidity test

Default 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi AWD and 4x4

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 that is AWD and 4x4. I purchased it from the original owner (my neighbor) who has not had any major issues with it. I have a 6" Fabtech lift with 35" Nitto Terra Grapplers. This truck is AWESOME off road. I rarely even have to put it in 4x4 at all. When you put it in 4 low, it will climb up anything! It out handles any stock truck I have ever driven even with the lift and big tires on it. As far as it being rare goes, you are correct. I work at a Chrysler Jeep dealer, with many people that have been selling Dodge trucks for years, and they have never actually seen one in person. They only downfall to having a full time AWD truck w/ 35's is the fact that I am lucky to see 10mpg average, usually around 7-8 city and 11-13 hwy. Overall this is the best truck I have ever owned.
