Default Hauling a ton of rocks

My driveway has a huge hole in it that fills with mud. I'm filling it in with crushed asphalt. This is going to be a two or three or four load job.

Anyway, my question is, and I've searched with no success, the haul maximum is at or around 1500 pounds, but how long is too long to have this load in the rear of the truck?

My kids have gymnastics today and the construction company will be closed afterwards. Would an hour and a half be too long for my 4 week old truck to be under load?

As long as you are under the max payload it should be fine. I am pretty sure they make these numbers slightly lower than what the truck is capable of for safety reasons.

I wouldn't even second guess about doing it, its what its made for. In the odd event something does happen, its under warranty right?

EDIT: Here is a handy guide to hauling and towing capacities - http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/year.pdf

I would go with 'Wow! That site has a lot of information but is the worst designed website ever!!'

Who makes every single page on a site a clickable PDF??? That is absolute lunacy!

YoU could rent a trailer and blow the suspension on that, and make less trips saving money and time!

Thanx for the info guys. I ended up not having to go to gymnastics. Loaded the 2nd load of rocks on the back of her, and she dropped wayyyyy down. Made it safely home, and the driveway looks a lil better.

Gotta love this truck!

Glad that worked out because it's not a matter of how long you are overloaded, just the fact that you are overloaded.
