Then a dryfilter is the way to go. They supposedly flow better and filter better.

But for S&B, their dry filters are disposable -- not cleanable/reusable. If they'd come up with a decent, dry performance filter, I'd be all over it (think aFe Pro Dr S, Airaid Synthamax, etc.). Who wants a $50 disposable filter? After using dry performance filters for 4 years, I also do not wish to go back to oiled gauze.

As closed off as the S&B is, I doubt you would need to replace it often I still prefer oiled filters for one big reason, they repel water. I know they don't 100% stop water but they do offer a good bit of protection.

Oil repels water but can suck oil through your intake a hit sensors... I still like the airaid syn filters... they are a non-oil and built well... I really like mine. sounds great and performance is well noticed

Our truck's don't have MAF sensors so the oil thing isn't really an issue. But I have the airaid syn filter and love it. No mess and just clean with mild dish soap and water.

Guys,
You might want to check out the CAI systems by S&B. Fully enclosed and available with a ramair snorkel that attaches to the lower front bumper.

i am using a airaid syn. non oil filter on my 2013 truck... i really like it but it doesn't fit proper as its for a 2012... so i am looking for another option. Guess it will be s and b. Don't like their dry filters much but i really don't want to use oil
