Default Fog lights not working on 2001 Dodge ram

I just purchase a 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. So far love the truck (first Dodge ever owned). Today I noticed the fog lights didn't come on.

First question is there an indicator that show the lights are on?

2nd If there is an indicator and it doesn't light what should I check?

I couldn't find what fuse controls the fog lights but everything else seems to be working.

Thanks

The fuse you're looking for is fuse G in the PDC under the hood. Other problems could be the bulbs, relay, switch, dimmer switch, or wiring.

Thanks I will check the fuse first and go down the list.

Is there an indicator inside that tells you when the fog lights are on?

Yes, there is an indicator on the dash. Looks like a backwards D with light rays coming from it, angled towards the ground.

Thanks. I am hoping it is as simple as a fuse or bulbs. Is the relay located under the hood as well?

Yeah, in the same PDC as the fuse.

Default Fog lights blowing fuse.

Well replaced the fuse and it blew as soon as I turned them on. Guess I have a short somewhere. After I figure the transmission problem out will work on these next.
Oh the joys of a used vehicle.

Sorry to resurrect a year old thread, but did you ever figure out what was causing your short?
