Default cai question

so have been looking at cai for my truck it is and '08 5.7L hemi and have narrowed it down to the afe and the airraid cai and have been hearing differant things from differant people,

my question is what cai are you running and do you like it and if not what would you change it to if you could.

I also have a 2008 5.7 hemi and Ive got the AEM Brute Force and I love it. It came with a throttle body spacer but I do not think that they are necessary. It looks good since its just polished chrome and sounds great. Very deep sound when I accelerate. (stock exhaust so all that I hear is the intake). Got it off eBay for a decent price.
CAN'T tell a difference in MPG. Still awful gas mileage but I did buy the 5.7 so i'm not too worried about how bad it is.

The only thing I would do differently is probably spend the extra money and get the BFI intake and have it painted to match the truck. Other than that most of the intakes just seem to be the same as the next. (My dad has a 2005 5.7 hemi and is running the K&N intake and is sounds just as good preforms the same)

I have the airraid. I works perfect. There is a functional hoodscoop on my ram so it gets cold air. But with the Borla's I can't hear the intake
The filter is easy to clean with the K&N fluids.

Exactly which AFE were you looking at? I can get both CAI's for you. Just let me know, and I'll see what I can do for you.

It's honestly a toss up between the two intakes. I run an AirAid with my ram air hood and am quite happy with it; my boss runs an AFE Stage II on his SRT cherokee and is more than satisfied.

K&N and I love it!
Really they all do the same thing so it's all about which one you think looks better..
