Default Projector lights & HIDs

Hey guys, '99 Ram 1500 here.

I wondered if anyone with a similar year had installed the projector headlight upgrade and had daytime pics so I could see what they look like?
I kind of like the stock lights on my ram, so may just replace the slightly clouded headlights with brand new shiny ones....not sure yet.

And HID conversion for this era truck? What are they like? Good investment? Worth it?
I've heard of issues with flickering and outages so wondered if anyone has done an HID on a late 90s and what it's like?

Not sure am seriously considering doing this, but interested in opinions.

I have projectors with halos. I will be upgrading to HIDs, 5 or 6k, shortly. I am also planning on tinting my headlight blue, so need the extra light fromthe HIDs
Now the cover ditch to ditch of a 4 lane hwy. There is a cutoff line, will get pics later as its on my home computer.

edit heres is halos

Thanks werm. They're not bad, they look quite nice. Still can't decide if I like the fact of the little rings in the eyes, or just the more blank cover look of the original lights.

my 2001 ram is black... so if they maybe had some smoked headlights that looked like that... would probably be cool... i need to get some pics of my truck up.. its in pretty good shape... maybe after a good wash.

can't wait to get my hids either but just waiting for some extra cash and well.. make sure i can avoid the flickering.... i think somebody on here used capacitors to stop the flickering.

I don't think I could do the smoked headlights, much like smoked windows, it's just not my thing. I think I'll probably just put new OEM lights on so they are new and clear rather than faded and slightly milky and add the HID upgrade.
I think I've read that some kits come with the Caps to prevent the flickering, but I'll do more research before I do it and money wise it will probably be a while before I can afford to after the alarm and power locks and such.

yeah i like the headlights on my sport right now... only thing is that the passenger has a hole where the little nipple is (1 of 3 ) and well it broke off so moisture got inside... i patched it with an adhesive (glue gun hahah) and the moisture just left a hazy look inside ... so i just want some new lights....

Yes that hazy look does make the trucks look a little more 'worn'.
