I just added the hid kit on my 05 2500 and used a single 4700 to fix my flicker issue, soldered it in on the hid kit tail low to negative arrow going to the negative and fixed mine, lamp out is still on but no flicker

Just get a complete kit from retrosolutions, ballasts and wire harness, the full kit, you will not have any problems, all your doing is setting up a hid kit that is linked direct to the battery, it comes with all the resistors and the capacitors and the relay, and its trigger point is the OEM harness bulb connector. problem solved.

Here is the right side factory pigtail with the capacitor plugged directly into the empty pigtail. Negative to positive and vice versa.

Here is the left side with the HID harness plugged into the factory pigtail. I had to split the casing of the HID wires to attach the capacitor to them. Again, negative to positive and vice versa.

These are 1000uf 35v electrolytic capacitors from Radio Shack. They cost a whopping $1.62 each and stopping my flickering issues. These capacitors have been in for about 7 months now. Don't mind the mess, I had to peel off the electrical tape for the pics and we all know how messy that can be with some good ol Super 88.
I am about to attempt also mine has 3 wires....07 Ram 1500 so confused I'm just gonna play with it until it works or I electrocute myself, whichever comes first I guess
