Default What means "Lonestar Edition"

Hi,
my Ram is a 03/4,7L 1500 SLT "Lonestar Edition"
I couldnīt find any information, what this means in detail.
OK, itīs from Texas, but what else?
Sometimes I think, itīs a spare-model,
because I miss things like alarm, ABS, CD-Charger.

Can anyone answer?

We did some looking for the info on the Lonestar Edition last week. What we found was that it's basically a Laramie option package with special badging. It was built specifically to appeal to the truck market in the state of Texas, a significant truck buyer market.

.....who doesnīt need ABS and extras?
I also canīt find anything of a Laramie option package. Wouldnīt it have leather and alarm?
The SLT- package is EXTRA itself!
For me far born german Truck and Guzzi-Cruiser there seems to be just one reason, pride and joy, for the people, who especially want a Car from New York, or rather from Texas. Maybe one of them use to drink less, while building cars or else :-)
For me, the reason for a LONESTAR was the movie "Spaceballs"!
(But I hadnīt bought one, if it was buildt in Russia)

The Lonestar package is very similar to the Big Horn package. In fact one of the few differences is that it say's LONESTAR for the Texans instead of BIG HORN. Its very hard to find info for a 2003 with the Lonestar pkg.

my 04 hemi was just an SLT, but my 08 is a SLT Lonestar Edition. Not sure if its on all SLT Lonestars or not, but the differences I know of are the 20", the billet-style grille, fog-lights, and power driver seat. I could be wrong though because my 08 has a bunch of other features my 04 didn't. I know I know, basically I haven't helped at all. Sorry.

Well, just happened to still have the window sticker from my '05 Lone Star. I think you can get the Lone Star package with almost any trim kit--including Laramie, but mine is SLT--plain ol' cloth seats and no specials over the other SLTs other than the LS package. The Lone Star package then was 20" tires with polished aluminum wheel and a 20" spare tire, Anti-spin differential, 3.92 axle ratio, fog lamps, sliding rear window and at one point, a free upgrade to the 5.7L. The package seems to change a little each year, it seems.

We had an 03 Red ThunderRoad. It had matching tonneau cover, matching ground effects, matching bumpers, an aluminum fuel door, ThunderRoad badging and all of them were Laramies. They were made in 3 colors (Red, Black and Silver) and only about 2500 were made in 03'. I miss my truck.

04' saw a few drastic changes that in IMHO made the newer ThunderRoads nothing compared to its predecessor.

I currently have a Big Horn. We are still learning some of the differences on that and an SLT. As well, what the differences are from the gas to the diesel 2500 Big Horn.
