I currently have 275-60-20 and I am thinking 315-60-20 or 325-60-20.

Sence your only doing a 2" level go with the 315x60's you wont have any rubbing issues and it will look awesome.

I don't know if the 305's would fit without a leveling kit.If you put a 2" level on there then i would get 305x55 tires.

The 305s will fit with stock ride height. I have a set of 305/55/20 BFG A/T KOs on my truck right now. I do have aftermarket rims on it but they have a +18mm offset so its not far off stock. I get rubbing on full lock but with a little speed, in reverse. Other then that they fit fine

A 285 series tire would probably be around your max, maybe a 295.

I have always heard that 305's will fit with stock height. I know I am getting Nitto's next time but have to figure out the size. I play with the tire calculator all the time to see what difference each change in numbes make to my tire.

From experience I would not go with a 305/55/20 on the 1500 unless I was going to lower it. I put them on mine last year and while the width looks AMAZING you actually lose about an inch of height. I'm trying to figure out what size I could put on mine without a leveling kit to gain width and height compared to stock size. I have an 09 btw, any help is much appreciated

A 285 series tire would fill up the wheel well better.
