Default Cleaning the white lettering on tires?!?!

Hey guys, i was woundering what everyone that has the white lettering on there good year tires use to clean the lettering. i've scrub brushed it and it still wouldn't get the black crap off of it...i then went to a car was the other day and they sprayed something on there and they were nice and bright white!??! Is there a special cleaner for that?

Also....(which i am very p*ssed of about) i decided to go threw on of those automatic washs...well i think one of the rails caught the wheel weight and spun it around the tire...i now have some scatches on my chrome wheel....has anyone ever got scratches out of this type of material...i know its not metal...its tht clad stuff? I would like to get rid of the scratches....i plan on entering this truck and some shows......and really don't want to see that on the rim (Yea, you can't even see it until your upclose, but i know its there)

Thanks!

Tom

get the white wall stuff from auto zone, advance, orielly's etc. it works wonders.

if the scratches are not deep buff them out. try the mother's power ball thing. i hear it is supposed to work wonders.

Hey man, I buy some stuff at auto zone called "Bleach White". The stuff is amazing! You just spray it on a wet tire and go ahead and clean your wheels, by the time you get done with the wheels you can take a scrub brush and dip it in the (Meguirs Gold carwash) water and it takes a lil elbow work, but they will be a very very bright white. You will not be disappointed, I promise you.

Hey, im a trucker, and we use this stuff called Blue magic. This stuff is like miracle cream. You can get out any surface scratches, and it takes the yellow/blue hue off your tips and headers if you have any. I polish out my Kenworth about once every 6 months with it, and it turns heads on a stock truck. oh and you can pick it up for about six bucks at auto zone.

I have tried a bunch of cleaners- most of them work pretty well w/ the use of a scrub brush. Make you sure you read the bottle because some of these cleaners could mess up certains finishes on your rims- Just something to think about.

Wheel weights are lead so a simple buffing with a Meguiar's wax and the powerball should take care of it unless it dug into the chrome. What you are probably seeing is just a tracer track of lead.

Oh, Bleach White FTW!!!
