Obviously almost every muffler can be modded,
Anyone know if the Series 40 fits a 2014 Ram Express?
3" in 2.5" double out

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've been looking at the Flowmaster exhausts and was wondering, besides the increased sound, what kind of performance enhancements does it cause.

Better HP, TQ, MPG?

I left mine on, but the 4.7L has a very small one maybe 6 inches at most.

I have one on my 13' express and love it . Nothing like that flowmaster tone! As far as performance gains I would call it minimal but I did it for the badass sound more than anything. I have the original 40 with single 3" in and single 3" out along with taking out the resonator. Dumped a single 3" pipe with 4" tip behind the passenger tire and love it!

You tube can sometimes be your best friend. Buddy at work has the super 44 on his 2012 bighorn with his resonators and I have the 2013 sport with the cherry bomb extreme with my resonators and mine is louder quite a bit with the same nice tone(not straight pipe---> gurgly). I'm comparing 2 same trucks Both with dual exhaust. Other guy at work has a 2010 ram hemi SLT WITH SINGLE EXHAUST flowmaster 40 and it does not sound as good. So be careful the advice you get when asking about exhausts, make sure you look at what their driving (single or dual and year) compare apples to apples(2009-2014 4th generation truck with DUAL factory exhaust).

Hey guys I had a 40 installed on my truck this morning. Just the muffler I kept the resonators. When I get out of the throttle it makes a gurgle like sound. As I ease up into the throttle the sound continues for a few seconds then changes tones and sounds excellent. Almost like the truck is struggling or something. Is this normal and just in heard with the stock exhaust?

I got sucked up into the whole flowmaster thing years ago before i realized it was the worst performance type muffler that can be put on a hemi...these hemi's like flow and a chambered muffler is no where close to a straight thru design... like I've said before, it's a sound mod that only a flowmaster type person will appreciate, when you go wide open throttle the sound just flushes over each other, very recognizable and i know when I hear one..this race is mine

Faast Freddie, what about Spintech, it's not straight through.
