What was the part number for the muffler that you used if you don't mind me asking?

Borla # 40349 $108.97 @ Summit Racing 3" center inlet / dual 2 1/2" outlets--------same muffler internally but branded turbo XL $134.97 BUT this one is 3" center w/ dual 2 1/4" outlets and connects w/NO adaptors directly to our dual 2 1/4" tailpipes; all you"ll need is approximately 14" length of 3" extension pipe. I've changed my exhaust so many times that I know all the measurementsHope this helps.

That helps out a lot thanks for all the dimensions! Good to know that it will essentially be a direct swap with the added pipe. Thanks.

Yeah what he said. I got my muffler a few dollars cheaper from US Parts Outlet on eBay. Great service and shipped quick and free. I didn't use adapters however. Good muffler man can weld her up without adapters. But I changed my Y pipe also. Cost me $101 for the muffler, $30 for the Y from Jegs, and $208 out the door for install.

As an update:
Now that I've had it in for a week and driven a little more I thought you might want an update. On cold startup, she is pretty loud, just until the engine idles down. I took a couple hour interstate trip this weekend. Still Very Happy with the in cab sound. Not any louder than stock, and NO Drone. There is an almost unnoticeable increase in volume around 1600 rpm, but No Drone. Red light to red light it is about the same as stock in the cab, under normal acceleration. With the window down it sounds great. Not overbearing but noticable for sure.
