Default speedometer off

don't know if right section but---
have 265 tires instead of 245
speedometer was working / not working
tap on dash work ok
pulled dash out fixed all connection cleaned things great except--
speed is now off.
doing 45 truck reads 50
I thought larger tires gave other way around?
previous owner replaced transfer case.
could this change speedometer reading?
thx

I love this little tire calculator. Punch in your original tire size, then a new tire size. It will tell you the difference in outside diameter and the % difference you will on your speedo either + or -.
