Exclamation DLC dead, any new ideas?

'01 Ram 1500 data link connector is not working. IOD fuse (#12) is good, connector wires pushed in, cleaned the connector with contact cleaner and still no power to my code reader. Connector worked fine yesterday when erasing code to get ready for annual safety/emissions inspection. Inspector connected his computer link and nothing happened. Dead. Tried my reader and that wasn't working. Anyone have any other ideas on why the DLC isn't working? I tried everything from previous posts. Thanks in advance.

Turns out that the DLC connector's wiring harness is only about 18" long and couples up to a longer wiring harness under the dash. The short harness became uncoupled from the long one, re coupled it and the repair was made. I realized there was no connection to the power and ground source after running a lead from the battery to pin 16 for 12v and to pin 4 for ground. FYI
