Default How are the Projector Headlights?

Hi All,
New member and soon to be new owner of a 14 ram laramie longhorn.

Just curious how the projector headlights are on the longhorn?

Before ordering I decided to rent a 14 ram from Enterprise to get a feel for the ride, power, and handling. Loved the truck but the headlights were awful.

Hoping the upgraded headlamps on the longhorn are better, but if not I'll be looking for aftermarket suggestions.

I have a 14 longhorn and I think they are just fine. My only basis for comparison is my 09 F250 Lariat work truck and my old 09 Silverado LTZ. The lights on my Ford just suck. My LTZ was awesome and my new Longhorn is pretty much comparable to that.

At the end of the day, I'm not going to be changing them out.

I also like my lights. They are very bright. To me its not worth changing them out to HID though it would've been better if Chrysler installed them factory.

I'm glad to hear the projector lights are better.I also have a 12 Express and lights are poor.I enabled the fogs to be on w/ high beams with my Bully dog tuner which greatly improved them. Also upgraded to Pia bulbs which helped a little.Just want decent lights on my new one without doing any upgrades.

added the '13 projectors to my 2011, and swaped the 9145 driving lights to 9155...more than enough light!

I have the 2013 LL. I was used to the HID in my Jeep, so these are not as good. I put Sylvania Silverstars in my fogs and aimed the fogs up a bit from the factory setting. I don't wish to have to take apart my grille to remove the headlamp housing just to change a bulb, otherwise I would have probably changed out the HIR2 bulbs for PIAA or Sylvanias too.

I bought a pair of the black sport projectors to put on my Outdoorsman. They just came in today so I will hopefully get them on soon. I think my stock lights are just fine and bought these for the looks. If they are better than the regular ones than that just a bonus for me.

If you have the low beams and fogs on, it'll be just fine for whatever you need. The high beams are MUUUCH better than the older headlights.
