Default Borla or Corsa??

Hey guys looking for your opinion or experiences with either Borla(#140307) or Corsa(#14405) catback system for my 14 Ram sport. Both systems are priced fairly close, is one louder than the other? noticeable power gain? ease of install?

My buddy has the Corsa Sport on his wip...Sounds a little more raspy than the Borla. The Borla has what i call a gargle sound...the Corsa sounds sporty. I did some reading on the technology on both Borla and Corsa. I lean more towards the Corsa mostly because of the better sound in my opinion, but also because they don't use any packing material in the Sport Exhaust. They use layers of steel to muffle sound waves. Borla and most other mufflers use a packing material like fiberglass....I feel like over time the packing will burn off creating it to get louder...my theory anyways...I vote Corsa

I just put the corsa 14405 on my truck. It's quiet at start up and idle. I only hear it when I step on it. It has NO drone! For that I love it. I had a Borla on my Silverado and mustang. I think Borla is louder. To me corsa sounds a little more exotic than deep muscle. I do t think you could go wrong with either.

I should add that I had Midas install the corsa. I couldn't wait for warm weather. Anyway, the manager showed me where the hangars were right up against the frame, and he had to take about 2" off the passenger side tail pipe. However with those adjustments, it looks perfect. Perfect alignment. I'm very pleased.

Thanks for info. From the clips I've heard the Borla sounds similar to magnaflow, Corsa may be a nice change. Tough decision as I haven't heard any negatives to either brand.

Your description sounds like what I'm after. Only loud when you step on it, and No drone. Drone would be a deal breaker for either brands as this truck is my daily driver. Do you have a pic of the exhaust tips? I believe Corsa does a 4.5" tip vs Borla 5", the Borla might be getting to big for the bumper cut outs.

This is my experience with the Corsa vs Borla discussion as well, I too do not think anyone could go wrong with either product!

5" tips fit in the cutouts just fine, see the pic below. Whether you decide to go with the Corsa or the Borla feel free to reach out to us we offer Crazy discounts to forum members

Thanks
Jeremiah
