Default MDS question

Hi alls,

I'm loocking for buy a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Outdoorsman with the 5.7L Hemi.

Is someone could tell me if this vehicle with this engine, always has the MDS system??
If not, how do you know if this engine is MDS???

And what is the consumption of the vehicle. Of course, average is obvious that it depends on what is done with.

Thanks for your replys

Xavier

Yes, unless you use a tuner to turn it off it is always there. I have tracked my mileage since new via an Excel spreadsheet and my average us 16 lit/100 Kms which is about 14 mpg (us). I've been as low as 10.5 lit/100 Kms (22mpg) on the highway and as bad as 21lit/100 Kms (11 mpg) in the dead of winter with city driving.

Any 5.7 in a 1500 after 06 will have MDS. Most tuners are capable of shutting it off.
