Default Driver side power window HELP

2007 QC 4x4 Big Horn

So heres the deal, my drivers side window will periodically not work. All other functions on the master switch work. I have replaced the master switch twice and both times it works flawlessly for a few days and then its back to "Is it going to go down this time or not?". It is only the drivers side window only even with both replacements. I really dont want to take it to the stealership to get this simple thing fixed. Any help would be much appreciated.

It's possible, but not probable, that you got 2 bad master switches. What are the conditions when the window will not go down? Temp, humidity, sunny, shady, truck warm, truck cold, in cab temp. It could be several things. A motor starting to go bad, a pinched wire, or... here's the biggy, our window controls go through the instrument cluster. It could be that the cluster is starting to go bad. Make note of the conditions when it happens again. How soon does the window start working again? Can you check to see if you have power to the switch and/or motor when the window won't go down?

take the panel off and check the connections on the window regulator. you'll need a torx bit to remove the door lever other than that it's like 3 screws. Also it could be the pin connector plugged into the switch... or intermittent open on the window reg circuit opening and closing wears out the wires in the door jam.. electical problem diag is always trial and error

^ how do i know which pin controls the driver window? I will need to find a torx set also. It happens very randomly and can last for a few seconds to a few days or weeks. It started out that i could give the door a good hit and it would start working but now it has a mind of its own.

If you could hit the door and make it work for a minute then it sounds like a bad connection somewhere in the door or the motor going bad. Check the boot in the hinge of the door for broken or damaged wires too

Okay, so yesterday it worked fine all day, i couldnt get it to not work. This morning taking it to the car wash it worked fine, got to the car wash rolled it up and waited my turn in line. while waiting in line i wondered if it still worked rolled it down and no go. Oh well at least its up, i washed her up and headed back home. Still didnt work for a few miles, stopped at subway got some lunch started it up window works, roll it half way down just fine. Pull into the neighborhood tried to roll up no go. I go a few hundred feet try it again it goes up. Now i try it sitting in the drive way and cannot get it to work. Im lost. It seems that after i let it set for a bit and try it, it works for a few and then stops. Also, when it doesnt work and i try the switch there is no power pull (you know when the lights dim a bit when you use your buttons) Should I try and replacing the harnes? If so where to i find them?

I just spoke to the stealership and they said the harness is around $400-$500 dollars. So I hope i can find another answer.

Could be the switch, could be a loose connection. Time to drive around with the door panel off and start wiggling stuff.
