No lockers for front or rear that I know of. Too bad, I would seriously consider putting them in if I could get them.

The 4x4/LSD setup I have is fine for my needs, and the LSD is probably more practical for me to have given the type of driving I usually do, but it would be pretty cool to have a front locker.

Honestly, whoever gets to market with aftermarket diff options for these ZF axles could make a ton of money because there are a lot of people who want to add lockers, LSD, or even just re gear. I don't understand why someone hasn't done it yet since there are several model years this applies to, the ZFs aren't really that new, and Ram's market share is only increasing plus Ram doesn't offer factory lockers like Chevy and Ford do.

Hi All,

Do I have a weird truck here? The reason I ask is that I have the LSD diff and when the left rear spins the right rear locks in. It doesn't matters if I'm tar, sand, snow, or ice. I KNOW it locks because it tries to kick the truck back to the left side. There is some info that says the extent of the lock on the clutch will be determined by the amount of torque on the left wheel when it starts to slip. This also has not been my experience. When it engages it engages. I would still like to have a locker option but this lsd is miles ahead of the setups I had in some of my older cars.
Still full lockers front and rear would be awesome.

Preachp, its a helical gear LSD, not a clutch pack. They changed the design from clutch type for the 2013s.

In case you're wondering, I do not know the bias ratio on these LSDs but I would love to find out.

Hi Thunderhorse,

It seems to me that when it locks, it locks. I did a burnout on ice to see what effect I could expect from the rear end when it kicked in and it laid down two nearly equal strips in the ice. So I did a hard start on tar and again two nearly equal length tire marks. So based on this pretty unscientific test I would say that what your putting down goes to both rear wheels. Also it would indicate to me that there isn't much rotation required to lock it in.
Thanks for the info on the engagement system. It really felt strange for a clutch system to engage so abruptly and harsh, but helical gear engagement makes a lot more sense.
