Default 4 inch lift tire sizes and lift brand

Looking for input I'm going to be doing a 4' lift on my 2012 1500 4x4.
What tire size do I got up to without rubbing? I have after market Helo rims in 17' also what lift company would you pick and why?

So far I'm thinking BDS or Superlift with 35x17 KM2's. Won't go away from KM2's

You'll be able to clear the 35x12.5's no problem with a 4" lift.... but it partially depends on your wheel specs. Without those I can't tell you a definite answer.

As far as the lift goes I'd recommend BDS. It sounds like you're prepared to spend the money rather than going with one of the cheaper options like Rough Country or Zone and BDS makes a great kit. They have proven themselves for years in providing a quality product for many different vehicles.

I have the 4.5" lift spindles on my truck with a 35x12.5x20 toyo MT on a XD spy. I have no rubbing what so ever at full locks. It's close, but they don't rub at all. Like Brandon said, it depends on your wheel specs mainly. I have a -12 offset on my wheel.

I went with BDS and couldn't be happier.

Be aware, when I was shopping kits this past summer I was told Superlift wasn't filling any new POs. I'm not sure what's going on with them currently, but I wouldn't buy a kit that you'll never be able to get replacement parts for. (assuming they go belly up if they haven't already)

Pretty sure you'll be ok with 35s as long as you stick to wheel that's +1, 0, or neg offset.

**Just realized you said you have a set of Helos. Def. need wheel specs to say wether they'll fit or not.

Yeah I really don't like Rough country... cheap
usually when you go cheap you loose ride and break stuff/wear stuff out quickly.
Yes, I'm prepared to spend more on the kit cause Labour is free.

Just found out my rims are an +18 offset 17x9 Helo 879's.... guess I didn't think that through last summer but then again back then I was "NEVER EVER GOING TO LIFT IT!". However The BDS site say's nothing about offset just says 4 1/2 backspacing for the 4inch kit with 35x12.50r17 but then I might want an after market bigger brake performance kit which might require bigger rims.

4 1/2'' backspacing would be a -12 offset on a 9'' wide wheel. Your current wheels won't fit.

Thanks 012RAMbo,

I'm looking into new rims.

Any idea on what tire to run? Do not say Nitto Trail Grapplers. I ran them on my F250 & hated them. EXTREMELY useless in the real world in my opinion. I did like BFG Km2's on my F250 & Jeep but I found they weren't very good on the highway.
Yes, I'm aware that I'm asking a lot out aggressive tires. I might go with KM2's still.... just looking for tire suggestions.

I won't be mudding much... maybe not at all. There will be some trail running/gravel roads. some bigger rocks. Towing a trailer 3-4 times a year. Want something that looks aggressive still. To and from work and 3-4 1000km round trips a year,

Check out the Toyo AT2 Extreme's. They're a great tire for every day driving and slight offroad use and still look nice and aggressive.
