Default HELP ASAP! Shocks won't fit!

Hey guys I need help. I just got in some rancho 5000 shocks for the front of the truck. I have a 2012 ram 1500 2WD. With a CST 7 inch lift. Anyways, the lift requires me to use stock length shocks. SO the rancho 5000 shocks I ordered are stock length. So I took out the old shocks and got all the way up to putting in the new one. I put on a washer and bushing, then stuck the stem though the coil bucket and hand tightened the bottom two bolts. Next, I have to place a bushing then a washer then a nut at the top of the shock stem (Outside the coil bucket) There is not enough room to put the bushing, washer, and the nut on! The shock is already fully expanded! What do I do?! If I use a longer shock, its going to allow my UCA to hit the coil bucket on full droop. So I must use stock length. If someone could help me as soon as possible as my truck is in the garage on jack stands right now. Thank you!

I appreciate that. I have been looking all around and have found that having longer than stock shocks MAY allows the UCA to hit the Coil bucket at full droop. I already had CSR-1200 15.5" shocks on. They were making clunking noise whenever hitting a dip in the road or going off road. I could not get the top shock nut off so I just cut it off with an angle grinder LOL. So going back to those shocks is not an option..

This from the PerformanceLifts.com website:

Shock Absorbers:
CST does not include shock absorbers with this 7" suspension lift. Please note that extended length rear shock absorbers are required when installing this CST 7" lift. You can retain your factory front shock if the budget requires this but it is not recommended. Use of the correct length (slightly longer) front shock will dramatically improve the ride and handling. PerformanceLifts.com offers a number of different shocks available for use with this lift. To help ensure the ride and handling matches the trucks great looks PerformanceLifts.com recommends the CST "CSR" Series shock absorbers. The CST shocks are designed by CST for use with this CST 7" lift. We also offer Bilstein, Rancho and ProComp shocks that we modify for use with this lift. Shock absorbers can be purchased using the drop down selection boxes located beneath this item description.
We also offer Bilstein, Rancho and ProComp shocks that we modify for use with this lift

You should call and see how they modify their shocks for the kit.

So I ordered stock length Rancho RS5000 shocks so that my UCA would not hit the coil bucket. However I cannot fit the stim/end of shock all the way through. If I put the tire back on and let the jack down to let the tire hit the ground, would i have enough room to put on the bushing, washing, and the nut on?

If it doesn't hurt to try, and you don't have a spring compressor I'd try it. Sorry man, 2WD isn't my thing. All I can try and do is point you towards sources of info.

I wish I could help more man.

Only other thing that comes to mind is fastening the top of the shock and then lowering truck some, to do the lower.
