Default Bilstein 5100

So I finally got my Christmas present (the Bilstein 5100's) installed, and I love it.

Attached are the after shots, the before shots are on my old phone, I'll try to post those when I get home.

I still need to have the alignment done (just got them on this weekend). I'm planning on doing the alignment within the next two weeks (this week/weekend is busy for me), is that too long to wait? Just curious; if it's going to damage the truck in any way, shape, or form I'll get it done ASAP, but if it's just a little tire wear from driving then I'm going to do it a week from this coming Saturday.

Edit - I went with the 2.1" lift so as to have 0.5" rake from rear to front.

You won't damage anything by waiting on the alignment. Like you mentioned your tires might have a few signs of wear on them, but nothing terrible since they're stock. I wouldn't worry about it.

Awesome, that's what I was thinking...also it's another $100, and I'm on a budget : /

I THINK I can notice that it needs an alignment by looking at it perfectly dead on, but I could be wrong...it could be all in my head, but it bothers the crap out of me, you know?

Man do I love the perfectly even keel look. The Bilsteins are awesome too, it feels just like it did before. I have it at work sitting next to an older ram with a big lift on it and bigger tires, looks almost the same size. I'll see if I can put a pic of that up too.

Yeah, upon looking at it again I think I'm just crazy. When I drive on a long straightaway it feels like it pulls the tiniest bit to the right, but it's only noticeable if I'm driving straight for extended periods (and might also be in my head).

Here's some shots of the two rams side by side.

I took the air dam off my ram within a month of buying it, it's hanging in the garage if I ever decide to put it back on.

It will need an alignment for sure. I guarantee it will be towed in and have negative camber. I'm not at all saying you don't need to go get one done, I'm just saying that waiting a couple weeks isn't going to kill you. I would definitely have it done within two weeks though.

Good to know, if I can find time this Saturday I'm going to, but I'm running in the Disney Marathon on Sunday and I think we have to leave Saturday to get there for registration and everything. Two weeks would be tops, but yeah. Places I've talked to it's ~$80-$90 (USD), think Pep-boys would be sufficient? I know they'd be quickest.

Looking at it dead on it almost looks like it has positive chamber unless I'm going backwards on that. (Top of the wheel looks a tiny bit further out than the bottom of the wheel). But yeah, I've been planning on getting the alignment done ASAP, just time is at a premium at present. Oh yeah, we just had our second baby a little over three weeks ago, so that's been my major time-sink as of late hehe.

Sorry, my bad. Positive camber is what I meant....

Ya thanks, I got it at the end of August actually so it's been a while now. But yes, the truck is awesome. There's no comparison between the SXT I had and my new Laramie Limited. Plus the power of the Cummins is amazing, especially now that I've tuned and deleted it. Overall I'm very happy with it and have lots planned for it yet. If you want to see a bunch of the stuff I've done to it already my build thread is linked in my signature.
