Default Do it yourself muffler swap kit?

Since our mufflers are bolt on and no welds, I was wondering if anyone knows of a kit I can purchase and make the swap myself. Just looking for a more aggressive sound. I do like the sound of the flowmaster super 44 but not sure if that would work. Thanks!

I believe Flowmaster does make a muffler swap kit now. Not sure what muffler comes with it though... I'd imagine it's probably a 50 Series HD. Just do a quick google search to find it. Otherwise check out the Mufflex kit. I believe they come with a Magnaflow muffler and pipe extension to be a direct swap.

Have a look at the search for Mufflex. Tons of debates on length and sound quality. Also, pretty good review on youtube as well. I just cant stomach the price...

Mufflex FTMFW.
bolt-in Magnaflow mufflers with extensions welded in, so they are the same length as our oversized POS stock mufflers. Make sure you center those clamps when reinstalling!!

The ones I know of so far are mufflex, flowmaster with a 50hd, heartthrob, cherrybomb vortex, and I believe pypes has a violator swap(there is a clip on youtube with the part#). A competent muffler shop can make one as well, most prefer to weld it as it is quicker and cheaper for them.

Yes, the price is a bit to fork out but remember, the Mufflex is still a Maggie muffler, just bolt on compared to welded. I'm real happy with my DOD18 as it does not aggravate my neighbors at 5 a.m. Flows are good too, so are CherryBombs and even DynoMax. Just make sure if you have a muffler welded in, that it is a reputable shop.

I know Corsa makes a direct replacement for the 2500. I got the Corsa DB on mine, wasn't able to do it myself though, because the stock system was clamped too tight for me to get off
The sound is a little quiter than I was expecting, but I can easily hear it at idle, and it gets loud and mean when I get on it.
