Default new truck - startling discovery

So I'm crawling around in the bed of my new '13 1500 Sport CC installing a Bakflip tonneau cover, look down, & see light leaking thru the BOTTOM of the bed. I'm new at this, but I'm assuming this can't be good.

Now I get paranoid & start looking everywhere...major gaps at the tailgate..WTF?!?!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

This is not a big deal, you can buy kits to seal this up. If you are concerned go to e-bay and buy a sealing kit or even you local hardware store and get some window or door sealer.

Of course, all trucks do. The tailgate isn't watertight and for that matter you also have drain holes at the front end of your bed. You wouldn't want to haul a bunch of water around every time it rained would you?

Nothing to worry about that is normal. If you drive in a dusty area sometimes a tailgate seal kit will be a good idea. With the top of the bed sealed it will suck dust in the cracks and the box will stay dirty.
