That's no excuse! I drive around 80% highway and I lifted my 1500 and put 35's on it and eventually I'll be lifting my Cummins and putting 37's or 38's on it. The lift won't really effect your mpg much. It's the tires that give you the biggest hit.

^^^^ Do 38's.. When the option is available, always go big or you will regret.. General law of doing the truck up. April-Sept 80% of my driving is hwy, 2 hours a day.. And if I could lift it 20"s with 44 swampers.. i would just so I could drive through fields and make the drive time shorter.

And Brandon is it weird that I just found you on facebook .. You commented on the bully's post right after me.

I like those wheels man and I think they'd look sick on the white truck. Be something a little different than the ol' white and black combo. I also think the 325/60/20's are a pretty good chunk of tire and wont look too small with 6" of lift.

We'll see... the thing keeping me away from 38's is the amount of driving I do. Plus I haven't totally looked into all the specs yet but I only want to run a 13.5 wide tire and most 38's I've seen are 15.5 wide. So I'll have to see what's available. By the time I lift my truck I might look for a second vehicle to drive sometimes though so if that's the case, it will get 38's for sure. Maybe even 15.5 wide

Haha nice man! Add me up! I'll have to go back and see if I can find that post to find you.

38 by 15.5 wide would be insane.. But kill the fuel milage for sure. 37's will still be sweet though.

Just accepted your friend request lol.

thanks for all the replies guys. This forum has helped me tons so far.
can anyone give me some ideas on tires? it seems to me like theres a huge back order on duratracs. i want a good tire for canadian winters thats great for snow wheeling and good on pavement as well.
If i dont have any option for an AT that meets that criteria what would be a good MT that has good tread wear...

I have had a set of Goodyear wrangler territory tires on a silverado going on 4 or 5 winter seasons now. They still have a ton of tread left and the truck does see a lot of km's. They are a wicked winter tire and I have yet to get stuck in the snow even during hunting season. They're a little louder than my trailgrapplers but otherwise a nice tire, just not sure what sizes they come in.

Other than that there's a ton of nice tires out there, bfg a/t's, toyo at2, nitto trailgrappler or terra grappler or the new Mickey Thompson atz p3. I probably wouldn't go with anything to extreme in an m/t though for winter driving. My brother has mud grapplers on his truck and they are rediculously bad in the snow.
