Default cleaning gas tank?

ive been working on my 94 dodge 2wd lwb truck and noticed then i was moving the tank around it had a loud raddel to it. so i took the sending unit off to find the pump was in 100 peices.. lo i decided to take a look into the tank and see the condition of the plastic tank. i noticed it was fithy full of grime and junk. so finaly to my question how do i go about cleaning up the ginormus 34 gallon tank? steps and everything ould be really nice. thanks for the help

I think first hot water with Dawn, then rinse with fresh water a few times, then slosh a gallon of acetone around best that you can for an hour or so, then dump it into a clean 5 gallon bucket. If it looks discolored and grungy, repeat with more clean acetone until clean. Save the used acetone for clean up of old spray guns, or any fiberglass projects. Remember, it's very flammable,
