Default Headlights won't turn off

This issue has just started happening. I always turn off the lights first and then the ignition. But now, the headlights stay on for approx 20-30 mins. I've checked the menu options on the console and I have "no delay" for the headlights checked like I always have.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Could it be a bad headlight switch?

I have Philips Xenon bulbs in all the lights with a full wiring harness and have never had any problems. And the taillights and amber lights in front turn off without a problem, only the headlights are staying on.

Sounds like an issue with your TIPM. You may want to take it to the dealer and have them flash the computer.

Took it to the dealer. The technician said it was a problem with the headlight relay sticking on. He said if it does it again I can flick it and hear a click as it shuts off. Only had to pay for an hour of labor, sure better than a new TIPM! Also had the pinion nut recall done while it was there.

Glad you got it fixed!

I would of checked if power was feeding the wiring harness relay first to see if you had a bad harness relay.

Then I would of looked at the headlight relay. Then the headlight switch.

Thanks for posting you got it fixed.
