Default Another LED Resistor Question

What I got:

2012 Ram with HID projectors and a DRL conversion lighting up amber turn signals full time.

What I need:

I'd like to convert frond and rear turn signals/brake to LED but do not want a hot resistor on the full time front signal lamp.

Can I get away with a resistor on the rear bulb only (both sides) and if so, what value will do this?

I'm assuming a rear only resistor will only warm up while the signal flasher is in use.

All ideas appreciated.

Cheers,

bix

Default Same problem

I replaced my Bed with a Utility Bed W/ LED lights. The flashers blinked fast so when I had tiime I put a 10ohm resister ( 25 watt) thinking that they would only get warm when I had the blinker on. Blinkers worked perfect but when I stopped the truck it was hott.

I cant help yet but hopefully a experenced member may know where the answer is

Thanks for any help

You need a resistor for each LED turn signal light. So if you put LED lights front and rear you will need 4 resistors.

Here is a good reference: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/LED-Resistor

Here is a wiring diagram: http://www.autolumination.com/images...stallation.jpg
