Default Lighting issues

Just thought I'd post my two cents worth. What I have found out about only one headlight working is: If one or more filaments burn out and the bulb is not changed within 2 days this sends a message to the brain that you have a dead short and shuts off power at the fuse box.If you try to pigtail over to your other headlight as it is working that also sends a signal and shuts off power to that side as well. They will try to sell you a new fuse box.TIPM Big bucks when I have been told they can go into the brain with a computer and reprogram it telling it you don't have a dead short and restore power to the tipm. How truthful this info is.i don't know as I haven't had that problem yet.but my Buddy does.the procedure is called "Flashing"I did ask the dealer here about it and they said they sell very few TIPM's and that yes it probably needs reprogramming.HTH

I've never had an issue with it as I usually change any bulbs out that blow when I get back to the garage. However, "flashing" is a real thing that the dealers do to reset or update the computer.
