Default Projector Headlights

How difficult is it to remove the projector headligts on a 2014 Sport? I detailed the truck the other day, and as I was going over the front with the flouresent drop light, I noticed the right headlight has scuffs on the inside of the lense. It is only noticable when a light is shone directly on the face of the lense. If it's not to involved, I will have the dealer order me a replacement and will swap it out myself to avoid any "Tech" damage to the paint, etc. Thanks in advance for any info.

Before you do anything, find out if the dealership will even replace the headlight for that minor damage. The removal process is really straight forward, pull the grille, then it's 2 screws on the front, remove the flap in the fender liner and reach in and pull the white tab down. I tape off the rear edge of the paint around the light and use a trim removal tool and pry forward, this pops the housing out. unplug the harness and you're done.

Agree 100% with this info, check with your dealer if they will do it.

Thanks for the replys. I wasnt aware that the grille had to be removed; why make it simple? LOL Just curious; why would the the dealer not replace the assembly due to the scuffs inside the lense? Wouldnt it be covered under warranty? The left light is perfect and the right has scuffs on about 1/3 of the lense.

It's all dependent on the dealership. Some wouldn't consider it an issue, others might. For example, many dealerships won't correct minor paint defects, or when the longhorns first came out and the leather had spew issues and the dealerships didn't/wouldn't replace the leather.

I got around to calling the dealership regarding the scuffs on the inside of the lense; they ordered a new light for me, sight unseen. They have been very good about ordering many parts for this truck; all under warranty, and the best part is that they are okay with me doing the removal and installation of those parts.

I have been looking through a bunch of posts and I am trying to find anything about swapping the stock headlights on my Express with the blacked out upgrades (projectors?). I am new to this stuff and am confused about all the different headlight styles and which ones can be swapped. Is that even possible without having to do any rewiring? I appreciate any help.

Requires a harness to work. No splicing of wires. Some people have done it. Older rams had 2 options of headlights, dual or quads. Now you have the same thing, quads or projectors.

RetroShop US is the only place I know that can help with doing the swap. Jeremy would be your contact there.
