Default 2013 Ram 5.7 Looking for 18" Magnaflow Cat Back

Ive done a fair bit of trolling on RF and i am finally ready to dig into my first mod. I think i like the sound of the 18" magnaflow based on youtube videos. I love the way my stock exhaust sounds during the first few seconds of a cold start but i would like to have that same sound (note) during acceleration and pick up some HP and MPG's in the meantime.

Long story short I dont want to just get the exhaust and then regret not doing the y pipe too so I was wondering if magnaflow makes a complete 18 inch kit. Their website only shows the 14" and 22" kits. Am I overlooking something or does Magnaflow not make a 18" cat back.

Also, I am hoping that the system is completely bolt on as I dont have a welder.

I've got a 2013 Crew Larime Longhorn w/ Hemi.

Thanks in advance!

Default Cat Back System 2013 Ram w/ Hemi

I posted this in the "Exhaust Section" and didnt get any replies so I thought i would try my luck in the forum specifically for my 2013 Hemi

This is the only information i could find from Magnaflow. If they dont make a 18" for my Ram then I am forced to go with the 22"".

Id recommend contacting Magnaflow directly or a vendor that carries Magnaflow to answer this question.

I am assuming the folks that went with the 22" cat backs are very pleased with the sound? Like i mentioned earlier, i love the way the stock sounds at cold start but then it warms up and sounds very quiet. IMO i think Hemi's should produce their own music but I'm also not a fan of the redneck sound.

You don't get the redneck sound from Magnaflow 14", just smooth and deep. Some cherry bomb muffler's, Flowmaster's, and a muffler delete like my neighbour down the street, very much redneck sound.

I called Magnaflow manufacture today and the only cat back system for the 2013 Ram Hemi with dual rear exiting exhaust is the 22". They have an 18" but the exhaust would exit in front of the rear tires. I want to maintain the stock look and use the cutouts in the stock bumper. It would look rather silly to have the cutouts with nothing there.

I guess I am going with the 22".

their cat back is basically a muffler back..
it has a nice rumble @ idle and has a nice deep tho not excessive rumble under load, not much sound at all cruising the highway (that i can hear anyway...the cars around me who knows )
i'll be having a shop add the Y down the road, hopefully it'll add a little more oomph

a true cat back woulda been nice but meh, what ya gonna do
everything in the 16869 is clamp so install is pretty easy, hardest thing we ran into is lining up the tips center to the bumper...i'll try a little a/o and a bar when i get some time

The 22" sounds like exactly what you're after, and our goals were the same. Even when towing our bumper pull trailer with the back window open its not too loud inside the truck (very close to stock sound level) but outside it finally sounds like a truck. A powerful, classy truck- no redneck crap here.
VERY pleased.

I'm so happy that I'm starting to see more and more people using the 22" maggy! It never got as much attention as the 14", 18" or the 24" because of the mufflex kits but for a straight muffler swap it seems to be the perfect balance of interior noise vs exterior bliss. Good choice! I love mine and it only got better with time.
